REGIONAL DEFENCE AND SECURITY ACT
Article 1
1. The Defence Readiness Condition, or DEFCON, shall be established as a measurement of the region's security level. It shall plan from 5 to 1, with 5 being the lowest level of alert and 1 being the highest.
2. Only the Founder or President may raise or lower the DEFCON level, which needs to be approved by a Senate vote. The Cabinet may advise the Founder or President, but only they have control over the level itself.
3. The following shall be the actions taken during each DEFCON level.
Article 2
1. The Founder, President, or Secretary of Defence may label certain regions as persona non grata regions. This means any nation hailing from that region may not enter Old Zealand, except under certain circumstances.
2. The Founder, President, or Secretary of Defence shall have full control over the status of persona non grata, and may place it on any region except those Old Zealand has allied with.

3. The following shall be the actions taken during each DEFCON level.
- DEFCON 5 shall be considered No Alert, and business in the region shall be as usual if the alert level is set as such.
- DEFCON 4 shall be considered Low Alert, and the Department of Defence shall begin monitoring suspicious nations. Allies shall be notified of this.
- DEFCON 3 shall be considered Medium Alert, and the Department of Defence shall have the right to ban and eject overly suspicious nations. Allies shall be warned that the region is under threat and that they should be prepared as well.
- DEFCON 2 shall be considered High Alert, and the region shall be put on lockdown with a regional password put in place by either the Founder or the President. The password must be visible to all current residents, but not be revealed to outsiders. Allies will be called to mobilize in case of any threat.
- DEFCON 1 shall be considered Dangerous Alert, and the region shall be mobilized immediately. Allies should also be mobilized and other regions may be called to aid Old Zealand.
